South America

South America is the southern American continent, it is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean; North America and the Caribbean Sea lie to the northwest. South America also includes various islands, most of which belongs to countries of the continent. The population is about 387,489,196 people. South American countries are exporters of products of the following sectors: agriculture, mining and forestry. South America is rich in mineral resources such as iron, manganous, nickel ore, uranium, bauxite, non-ferrous metal ores, oil, natural gas and coal.
